1 - First, Believe
It may sound hokey to you, but your belief system is crucial. You must do whatever it takes to believe you are worthy. It is so easy to think negatively about oneself. It is much harder to think good thoughts. But we must! Your self-worth is directly related to your net-worth. You are worthy – begin telling yourself that.
2 - Pay Attention
Usually, we don't notice the thoughts floating around in our mind. They take place in the subconscious, which is on “autopilot” so we aren’t aware. Most likely your thoughts are sabotaging your goals and dreams. So start paying attention. It’s not hard, it’s just an activity we aren’t familiar with and it takes a little practice. You can do it!
3 - Speak New Words
Words have power and you are in control of your words. Instead of “I can’t” choose “I can”. Replace “I’m not good enough” with “I’m more than enough”. Swap “it’s too hard” with “I can figure this out.” Subtle changes can make a world of difference in your outcomes.

The stress of a divorce is enough; adding financial stress to it makes it worse. I recommend this book's practical advice to anyone who needs to improve their financial acumen.
